2 worked out of 3

Of the 3 cables 2 worked and one was not long enough to work. I thought this company made better products. I would not recommend this product for use on 76 cj5

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Not reliable

Decent product - engine cooling and air conditioning

Air intake cable should be better quality steel. Opening the ventilation slots requires a little more force. I can move the vent by hand very easily, but it does two things. The cable is kinked.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Total Scrap - Heater Parts

Light Plastic Parts. Omix-ADA makes good aftermarket parts, but this is not one of them. We highly recommend looking elsewhere for American-made alternatives - you'll have to look, but they're available. Not worth having.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Poor quality - replacement parts

These things look great but the little plastic tabs that "snap" into the dash cutouts are flimsy and one of them broke just sliding it into the hole. They're cheap so there's no reason to send them back for a replacement. I'll find out how it works. I wouldn't buy these but look for better ones.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Almost never

Good lengths. The covers fall off.

They don't really have a choice for Jeep CJ heater vent wires other than these, so I'm glad they still make them. It is in order. But if you fiddle with it a bit, the shiny chrome plastic covers pop out. I'm waiting for the handles to loosen, I read it happens over time. Then I glue a set of metal end caps and weld the JB grips back on. Pros: The length is right.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Old

Finally they work!

Several heater vent wires in my Jeep were broken, difficult to pull and disconnected from the dash where they were installed. After considering my options and based on a previous purchase of an Omix-Ada product, I purchased and installed this heater vent wire kit. Although cable management is a bit tricky due to limited workspace space, I managed and am very happy with the fit and functionality of these cables.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

all cords were the same length

I only had to replace one cord, the defrost/heat cord in my 80 cj5. I work in a remote village in Alaska and my jeep is in storage and flying there is very expensive. Needless to say, I tend to order parts to install later. A few weeks ago I drove into town to work on a Jeep and don't you know all the cables are the same length! Much too long. So the cable I had to replace has yet to be replaced. uhhh. Order with caution.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Shit. Just shit. fits heater parts

Although listed as fitting my car, they didn't fit properly in the hole. During installation, the freshly painted dashboard chipped because the clips were too big for the holes. I realized I would have to try to modify them to actually fit, but one of the heads broke off on the first attempt at installation. The heater/vent cable doesn't even reach far enough to turn on the vent mode. I ended up using all but one of the old cables as they were junk. Just for reference, I have 30 years of…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgrades
