The material of this dress is thin but not fabric. It's very flattering, especially if you've invested in shapewear, which every woman should wear, regardless of size or shape. The color is slightly muted, which I like because it looks more timeless. The birds are creamy white. I'm 5ft 7 inches tall and it's just below my knees. I usually wear a size 8 dress and bought a large one. As this is a cape I feel I can still lose some weight and the dress will still fit. Excellent purchase!
