Description of πŸ”† Enhanced Visibility with Oralite Reflexite Microprismatic Retroreflective Conspicuity

Oralite V98 Microprismatic Retroreflective Conspicuity Tape is prismatic conspicuity material available in a variety of fluorescent neon colors which include lime yellow, orange and yellow. Oralite is the Oracal Group's new brand name for Reflexite. The thin, flexible sheeting has a unique appearance featuring a printed triangular white line pattern. V98 will enhance the visibility of any police, fire or EMS vehicle. It provides superior visibility and conspicuity to oncoming motorists which results in improved safety and image. UV and solvent resistant coatings ensure durability which allows for rugged outdoor use on the sides and rear of tow trucks, trailers, school buses, farm equipment, automobiles, and all types of mobile and industrial equipment (designed to adhere to high surface energy substrates such as metal and glass). Aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive backing designed for rigid metal substrates. Tape is weather-resistant and has a 5-year warranty. Maintains reflectivity after impact. Conspicuity-grade material like this is typically 6 or 7 times more reflective than a comparable color in an engineering-grade reflective tape since prism technology is used instead of glass beads so you would be able to see it from much farther distances away. Carrier/Backing: UV stabilized polymeric film. Adhesive: acrylic. Release Liner: paper. Thickness: 18 mils (carrier, adhesive). Application Temperature: 50F to 100F. Standards Met: LS-300C section 3.6.7; Meets requirements for ASTM D4956, NFPA 1901; complies with European RoHS directive 2002/95/EC. Core: 3-inch diameter.

Hypnotic Fixed Scowl (HFS)

We install this on our Jackson fishing kayaks. Not only will you be highly visible with this product, but other fishermen will become hypnotically obsessed with the bouncing reflectors, most of whom seem to frown heavily. This frown can be felt not only on the water, but also when towing kayaks. Perhaps neon green reflective tape has a profound psychological effect on people. I'm interested in whether other colors induce a hypnotically curled frown (HFS).

New Traffic Safety Application

We used the REF-DB 2" yellow tube in the following application. 48" long, 1 1/2" diameter PVC pipe with plug, painted brown with plastic bonding spray paint. On each post we taped 2 strips of this tape 4 inches apart. They are deployed in 6" x 2" PVC sleeves buried in the side of our private driveway to mark dangerous turns and falls. What a fantastic product! daylight visas. goes well with brown color contrast. night visa. is exceptional! Has withstood rain and freezing temperatures so far…

This isn't exactly what I expected.

Mr. Coley posted a video review and while I appreciated the video review (which actually impacted my purchase of the product) I would caution other potential buyers not to have too much expectations. For some reason, the reflection effect in video recording is much larger than in a clear view. Watching the video I thought the reflective effect would be great and maybe even too strong for passing drivers. After installing it on our mast I can say I didn't have to worry about it being too bright.
