Received as a gift for my 6 year old girl. It seemed like a decent "kids" camcorder until we tried using it for snorkeling in under 5ft. Said to be waterproof to 10 feet. not this one. Salt water seeped inside. We literally used it once before it stopped working. I do not recommend this. Contact Oregon Scientific for warranty replacement. Let's see how it goes.

No viewfinder. All you have to do is point the direction you want to shoot and cross your fingers for it to stay in frame. The video was black and white when played back. The quality was terrible. It was horrible to play in real time, almost nothing could be seen, only silhouettes. Also not intuitive to use. The only thing it had was that it felt solid and the helmet and bike bindings looked like they were going to be solid. It's a shame they made such a crappy video! send back tomorrow.

Bought this and kept for my son for his 12th birthday. He loves swimming and cycling is a great option. We took it out of the box, followed the instructions and headed to the pool. Within 5 minutes the battery compartment was filled with water. And there was water in the lens, so it was leaking elsewhere too. Wasn't "waterproof" for us. Hope others have better experiences. However, the first short test video we made was fine. If it were waterproof as hoped I would probably give it 4 stars…

This camera is designed to be used as an "action cam" that attaches to a helmet or bike handlebars. This is not a camera for making your own feature film.
