Well my version was disappointing

In short the locking screw was too short to hold nvme in place and even if it was the intended range it didn't fix it. the bits are hex not philips, i couldn't use them because of the wrong design, saved money and got a better device

Pros
  • Like everything so far
Cons

Rugged m2 case for computer accessories and peripherals

Works great so far. I installed a 500GB m2 hard drive and transferred about 300GB of photos to it. The transmission speed was stable. The drive got quite hot during the first transfer, but haven't had any similar problems since just working with the drive case.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • High price

Warning: Probably not work with your Macbook Pro

Orico claims this case is Mac compatible but it doesn't really work with all Macs. Unfortunately, my MacBook Pro (15 inch 2019) ended up in this group. This and other cases that use the JMicron JMS583 chipset are not recognized by the operating system. Otherwise, the case makes a well-made impression and the installation of the SSD was relatively easy despite the relatively simple instructions. However, since this case was purchased specifically to make backup and migration easier on my laptop,

Don't enter get a pass

Causes NVNE corruption/failure causing you to lose money even on a premium NVMe drive. If I kept this app it wouldn't work anymore. Stay away from this app and the seller as when I contacted you about a replacement issue it is a gimmick related to my request for a not essentially inappropriate review as you the faulty Orrico case that it sells have notified. Here's my final direct message to the store. "They were messaging so close together and not letting me know about this second message I…

  • Brilliantly done

Bad case design, mediocre performance

, Orico currently offers two externally identical (and almost identically named) USB 3 NVMe SSD cases. This runs on the Jmicron 583 chipset; the other runs on the Realtek RTL9210B chipset. The case is incredibly cheaply made. This is little more than dust protection on a circuit board. The included "thermal pad" doesn't even bridge the gap between the PCB (or SSD) and the case. For a Realtek-based device, this isn't such a serious problem as the device runs very cool. This case gets quite hot…

  • Good thing
