New life for an old Wii

A simple replacement for a broken Wii hard drive. The supplied Y-screwdriver was needed to open the case. Be careful, there are many screws to unscrew - watch the video on YouTube. (I still have some (!?) leftovers from reassembly, but everything seems fine).

Perfect replacement for the old Wii RVL-001 drive. Fixed "Read failed " error.

My old Wii stopped reading game discs and gave an error. Following YouTube's instructions on disassembling the Wii and replacing the drive, I pulled out the old one and installed this in about 20-30 minutes. There are only a few screws to remove but the inclusion of a Y screwdriver in this kit helps a lot if you don't have a repair kit that includes that specific screwdriver. Super happy! We're playing Wii Sports with the kids again!
