I wasn't ready to collect that star yet. The lights are in a coiled string that you need to wrap around the star. The stand is suitable for most large trees, but not for small ones due to its light weight. There were no instructions in it, so logic and common sense will help you. It looks good if you have the patience.

We love this treetop! All the different settings make it very fun to use. The only thing to watch out for is that the button in the tree is facing outwards. We used a zipper to keep it in place. If it is not facing out, the remote control will not work. It connects via USB, so we just used an old phone charging box and an extension cord. Works perfectly!

It can't be configured with the Alexa remote/plugin and won't turn on after power is restored to the outlet. You have to use the remote control or turn it on manually each time. The bottom bar of the star did not match the metal part that came with the kit. But I still haven't used the metal part. No instructions! A rattan star does NOT come with lights already attached to it, there is no easy way to weave a flimsy string of lights beautifully through a star. I had a really hard time making this star on my daughter's tree look beautiful, it's not worth the time and effort. Also, the star is quite heavy so definitely not suitable for a small tree (we had 5ft). The part that holds the star on the tree is flimsy and not easy to get to stay in place. A good sized star. I actually thought a 10" star would be too big, but it looked balanced on our 6.5" tree. The bracket you were trying to use to hang the star on the tree wouldn't attach, didn't fit and was basically useless so we had to try tying the star with spiral ties. The cord for the on/off switch is VERY long, which we didn't really like.
