Because of the better price I chose Orthosleeve as an alternative to a well known branded compression sleeve for my plantar fasciitis. They are almost identical and I have to say that Orthosleeves are more comfortable ie better suited to my height 13ft. I would not recommend downsizing these compression stockings as I think it would be more therapeutic as the results can be painful, like your foot is in a vise. Great supportive sleeves but you MUST measure your arch, you cannot rely on shoe size. I wear a size 5 but have a wide/flat foot and bought a medium size. If I were to buy by shoe size I would buy a small which would be too small. Here are the measurements straight from the Orthosleeve website. I ordered a pair of black and white socks to treat plantar fasciitis. Socks really help relieve pain, especially in the middle of the night when you get up to go to the bathroom. They fit as expected; take measure and it will be fine. Just remember that the ball of your foot is the most compressible part of your foot.
