🔧 OTC 5937 E20 Torx 1/2" Square Drive External Socket Review

Works great! It's much better to use the right size Torx head than a similarly sized Torx head, especially when tightening the bolts to over 150lbs.

Sturdy and high quality just like other OTC products I've bought. Only time will tell how durable they are, but I don't expect any problems.

This is a good head but it will not fit the Nissan flex plate. I had to put it on a lathe and cut off the last tooth to make it work. I would give five stars if they added that disclaimer. There are other special sockets for this.

How come Revain still has the wrong description for both sockets? OTC 5937 is a 1/2 E20 drive, not an E18. OTC 5936 is a 1/2 drive, not a 3/8 drive, and it is E18. OTC 3/8 Square Drive Torx sockets only fit up to E16. After that, it's 1/2-inch discs. Come on Revane, let's fix this before more customers run into the problem. Some of us don't read reviews when we find what we need, so it would be very helpful if the description was accurate. Apparently this problem has existed for a long time…

Long and short. This part is supposed to be a 3/8" drive. Perfect. Except when it arrived it said a 1/2" drive on the box and when I attached it to my ratchet it was clearly a 1/2". -Drive.I have an adapter that you may not have, but anyone who uses tools other than a hammer and screwdriver knows that this isn't the ideal way to get the job done and sometimes you don't have space to to use an adapter.For that I would say this head is very well made and although it doesn't say so I think it is…
