When you're spending like $1,000 on a phone, I think it's important to protect it! It has helped me with this phone and a similar case for my previous phones. This adds bulk to the phone, but knowing that it can withstand an accidental drop onto a hard surface is worth any inconvenience.

We've been using Otterbox on previous phones for years and have never had a phone break. The cases fit well, look good and just work. So we have the new S10 Plus and thought let's try other cases. Well they fit and look good. Some were a bit thinner and less bulky... BUT they weren't otters. So we ordered 2, put them on and they look great, fit and feel great. And I'm not worried about drips! Just take the otter box.

It has kept my phones value for resale high as they always look new after 2 years. My fiancee has always used a clear Otterbox case on the same phones, she doesn't drop them as often as I do and she keeps getting slow. The most interesting thing is that I work in aircraft maintenance/manufacturing, so mine usually works with harder materials like concrete, she works in a carpeted office. It might just be that I'm better at electronics lol.

In the last few phones I've bought I've tried other brands at a lower price but at the end of the day I always come back to the OtterBox Commuter Series. It's a bit bulkier than some other manufacturers' best cases, but it's grippy in all the right places and doesn't appear to be as stained (like it scratches easily) as the others.
