I LOVE the Otter Defender series. Great for a dope like me, while it makes the phone too big for a woman's pocket or purse, the phone for the iPhone X is just too heavy to use. It is almost impossible to plug a charging cable into the lighting. And the ringer mute cover also makes it almost impossible to access the tiny bell switch on the bottom. I've been with OtterBox since 2013 when I had a Samsung Galaxy S3. When I switched to the iPhone 6s plus for a year, OtterBox offered protection as good as ever. I have to be honest, the "screen protector" that the OtterBox defenders provided for their previous phones was never something I liked or considered protective. That being said, the fact that this X and XS version of Defender doesn't have a screen has to be one of my favorite features. I definitely always carry a glass screen protector

Update: After the case had been less than 5 months it got so bad I contacted Otterbox for a warranty replacement. After waiting a long time for an answer I was contacted and told that if I paid an exorbitant amount for 'shipping and handling' to send a new one they would of course replace it. Up until now I have avoided Otter Boxes as I thought the prices were prohibitive. However, this particular Defender Screenless Edition cost about $10 less than other Otter models (with a screen protector), so I decided to "bite the bullet" and give it a try.
