I received this plug to connect a Christmas garland to an extension cord. The Christmas light's female plug was non-polarized, while the extension cord's plug was polarized, which does not match a non-polarized female plug. The CY extension worked very efficiently. I've used it for outdoor Christmas lights and had no problems. Cable length 19 inches.

Like many others, I wanted to connect an extension cord with polarized pins to garlands (Halloween in my case) that only had female non-polarized holes. It worked great!
