Excellent quality overall but I cannot use it as it sits too high for my front door to open and close. We were looking for a mat that would sit in the door and catch snow, mud and water. This rug can, but I won't know because I can't use it.

I bought this rug hoping it would be perfect for our garage door. When I opened the package, I immediately smelled a terrible odor. The texture of the carpet is also weird, it's all rubber. It can work outside in a garage far from home so you can't smell the strong chemical odor it allows.

I put this carpet in front of the front door, there are tiles on the floor. I cleaned the tiles regularly and sometimes forgot to let them dry before putting the carpet back on. I didn't notice the backing of the mat sticking to the semi-wet tile and when I tried to remove the mat to clean the backing tore leaving a hole halfway through but not through the mat. BE CAREFUL that it doesn't stick to the floor.

The day after I placed this rug outside our door, we had heavy rain with a blowing wind that actually got under our ten foot covered porch. When the storm passed, I went outside and picked up the mat, which was full of water. A quick shake made the water fly. Since I had friends that day, I worried that if they stepped on the mat and entered my house, they would walk on water. However, this carpet was dry for an hour! If I had bought a different rug, it would have taken several hours to dry.

When we bought the mat it looked good and durable. We used it as a doormat. It rained a few days ago and the rainwater seeped into the carpet, making it heavy and wet.
