Doesn't work with my 64GB OWC memory. Neither.

Will not work with my 64GB OWC storage. It also doesn't work with the original 24GB that came with the computer. Life emergencies, waited too long to return. now I'm stuck with them.

Pros
  • Compatible with 2009-2012 Nehalem and Westmere Mac Pro models
Cons
  • Seniors

Mac Pro 4.1: Well tested and working with my two old 2GB 20GB DIMMs

Mac Pro 4.1: When I got the cheaper 2 x 8 GB set tested they were poorly tested with MemTest86+. I sent this set back and tried again. Same result. I then went with the next most expensive option, OWC, and opted for the faster Dimms watch in hopes of better portability. In short, they tested well. And they work with two of my old 2GB dimmers for a total of 20GB at 192bit. I'll probably upgrade to another 16GB set for 256-bit performance, but I'm just glad the two pairs tested well together.

Pros
  • 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1333MHz 240pin ECC DIMM
Cons
  • Too long wait

Mac Pro owners! 4.1 flashed to 5.1 only requires 32 GB of RAM!

Mac Pro owners! 4.1 is flashed to 5.1, it only takes 32GB of RAM and I bought two more 8GB sticks and the 4.1 architecture doesn't recognize these two new cards. Be careful with our specs in these hacks because it's a bit confusing! It's time to give the money back for those two new sticks. I was busy.

Pros
  • Fully compliant with JEDEC specifications
Cons
  • Socket required

My apologies for the lack of photos during installation. I would suggest having a wrist strap to prevent ESD on the RAM cards and your computer. The setup for me was to add additional RAM up to a maximum of 32GB from 20GB.

Pros
  • OWC memory limited lifetime warranty including advanced exchange program
Cons
  • Long delivery time
