Installation was very easy. Tools are provided which is a plus. My 2009 Mini is now running two mirrored 500GB drives in a RAID1 array using OSX's built-in RAID capabilities.

Great product. I used the instructions that came with it to successfully install on my late 2009 Mac Mini. No five stars because some of the holes used to securely attach this bracket to the Mac Mini chassis were misaligned. So I had to settle for holes that actually lined up. Doesn't interfere with installation as two screws are more than enough for a secure installation.

very good device. Comes with neat instructions. (Considering what this product is supposed to do, which is to hold a very light disc, it's definitely *way* too complicated. I could probably stand on that thing!)

In early 2010, I replaced a defective Sony DVD drive with another hard drive on my Mac Mini. Came complete with tools and a new set of screws to replace the ones I lost when pulling out the DVD-ROM. OWC has thought of every possible scenario for carrying out the work. Five stars for me.

Installation was easy and the product fits perfectly in place of the old optical drive. Installed a 500GB Samsung SSD for extra storage and it works great. I realized that my external storage connected via USB 2.0 was slow by today's standards and this solution was much better.
