This is great food! I give my 2 gerbils about 2 tablespoons every other day. It is green. I give my gerbils a banana and an apple 🍎 once a week to balance the diet, but they never get sick from eating alone. It's really very healthy and at a good price. My gerbils hate big palettes but love these little palettes that they can hold in their hands and in their mouth.

When I first opened the package, it smelled like Timothy's hay/grass, which makes sense as that's the main ingredient.
