Great peeler for stubborn fruit

I've been using this peeler for almost 10 years and finally decided to replace my old one. Very sharp! DO NOT run your fingers over it, it is very sharp. I use it in making homemade liqueurs and liqueurs. Allows fresh peaches to be cleaned quickly without blanching while retaining flavors and essential oils. Also ideal for rinsing pitted lemons and oranges. Also ideal for peeling fresh tomatoes.

Waste of money on cleans

I thought it was a carrot/potato peeler but it isn't. Long story but I like my OXO knife so I bought it for my sister as she had an old metal knife. When I asked her if she liked it, she said it wouldn't work. then we had this long chat on the internet about it and she sent me pics so i checked what i bought and in fact it is "serrated" and goes with everything but what i bought it for. So disappointed and he says non-refundable, 10.00 in the trash!

Great for peeling fresh fluffy peaches

Thought this would be a fun tool in my kitchen for probably four years. I figured I could use this to peel tomatoes instead of putting tomatoes in boiling water and then ice water. I was right for those early years, but then a major change in chores in the kitchen: how to peel fluffy skins off fresh peaches. Wow! It even works with the bruises on these peaches. More peaches were saved for pies and just food. If you love peaches and have noticed that most peachy colored peaches are covered inโ€ฆ

The original OXO rotary knife is better.

I really liked the OXO revolver knife. I liked it so much that I bought 3. When some family members were very rude with these 3 peelers I decided it was time for a new one and this one seemed interesting because it was recommended for soft fruit and I eat a lot of soft fruit. drupes. It wasn't. Because the fruit was soft, it was slippery. The serrated blade continued to get stuck for the first 10% of the peel travel. I either dropped the fruit or I cut myself (which I did both. multiple timesโ€ฆ

Best Peeler In The World

Update 6/22/14 - Today is the first time since I bought this knife in 2010 that I haven't had it in stock. Instead of just washing them, I pulled out my previous vegetable peeler and got to work on the cucumber. It felt like using a tool from the Middle Ages. Never again. I kept my old knife just in case, and "just in case" just won't work for me. I will always use this scrub. The difference is amazing. I still use it happily, with no problems four years later. Is it weird to rate a cleanerโ€ฆ
