no more knife accidents, at least with corn.

So I tried it on a boiled corn on the cob and was amazed at how easy it worked. When I used the knife the corn flew everywhere and the cob slipped off, but with this you can put the corn on a flat surface and cut off the kernels without flying back, I actually thought it didn't work because the cut pieces lay just on the plunger, you have to slide them into the bowl. I buy several of these for storage. Christmas is not far away

Makes preparing corn easy for freezing/canning

My cousin introduced me to this appliance while I was helping her load 3 bushels of corn into the freezer. I'm not good at "single tasking" jobs and usually use a good dual blade knife for this job, but the OXO corn peeler was so much easier to use that I bought it when we were done with her corn to bring to my house to come home . in time so I can freeze the corn. The handle fits well in the hand and is very robust. The blade is sharp and easily cuts corn from the cob.

I was amazed at how quickly she shaved off the callus

I first saw this versatile tool on a friend's. I was amazed at how quickly she shaved off the calluses. So I had to ask and immediately phoned Revain and all four of us ordered 1. It really is the answer to the question of can't you eat corn on the cob. Candy corn has become my favorite again. I had shoulder surgery and it was very difficult for me to bring both hands to my mouth to bite off the butt, so enter this small but powerful device and the problem will be solved. Here's a tip: whenโ€ฆ

Great for freezing/canning sweet corn

I freeze about 100 cups of corn a year and got lifted with a knife. I tried it this year after hearing people talking about it and it worked great! Especially if you like boiled corn. I didn't have perfect cores, but I was looking for speed, not accuracy. If I didn't get the whole core, I would run it again and it would fall to pieces. Very fast. I found that I got the most out of the corn in no time by holding the corn to the bottom of a large bowl and slicing off the bottom half, thenโ€ฆ

I cook a meal once or twice a week depending on my mood. It's called esquites and requires removing corn kernels from the cob to prepare the dish. The OXO name sells almost every one of their products quite well. I have never been disappointed with anything they do and I own a dozen or more of their products. The corn peeler not only lives up to the OXO name, but is also a super useful tool in the kitchen. It easily removes cores with little to no effort. It's very sharp - be careful where youโ€ฆ

Ergonomic but not for corn lovers

Bought for my husband. My husband loves corn. He eats corn on the cob only on harvest day. He shops at the farmer's counter. They are only sold by the dozen. Do you see the problem? There are two of us, so we have leftover corn. LOTS of corn because he loves fresh corn EVERY day during the season. My husband usually uses a knife to remove the kernels, suck out air, freeze them, and then eat a whole bunch of off-season cornbread, corn. Chowder, corn pancakes, recipe corn. Do you understand. So I
