The soap ejection button has a short lifespan.

I've been using this for years, for convenience and to keep my hands from getting in disgusting water. But they're not great. I have to replace it every few months. This is probably what the manufacturer intended. The soap button stops working after a few weeks, so I just use a sponge and apply dish soap from the bottle to the dishes. Too bad they don't make them work better. I'm pretty sure this just makes the plastic/rubber thing out of a better material with a firmer grip so the soap…

Better than the one that comes with a scrubber/sponge

I accidentally bought this purchase after the dispenser button wore out on my last one. I thought I'd order the one with the blue sponge, but it's just a sponge. I'm glad I made a mistake. What I like: The dispenser button lets you control the amount of soap dispensed, and the sponge lasts much longer than the scrubbing pad (which falls apart too quickly - the scrubbing pad always separates from the sponge). sponge after too short a time). What I don't like: Replacement sponges are quite…

Two and done in the household

I had my first OXO Good Grips squirt sponge for about two months. Everything worked fine and I was happy BEFORE the day after I refilled the grip with soap, I screwed the end cap back on and the whole plastic end cap broke off. Since there is a guarantee, I filled out the guarantee return form and sent it back. Back to OXO. Waited and waited. six months Haven't received a replacement yet. In fact, I've never heard an answer. So I decided to buy another one off the shelf and try it. Well, after…

Worst OXO product I've ever had

I've been using OXO dish sponges for as long as I can remember. Over time I replaced them as needed and was very happy to see this design change as the previous version was stuffed with a button that you pushed to release the dish soap and it sometimes popped open if you got something deep and tight cleaned and spilled detergent. I thought this fill method would be better but it's much worse as the dish soap runs out after about a month. It doesn't matter how you position it when you're not…

  • Very Expensive

I bought this and the OXO Good Grips soap dispenser brush which is identical except the head is included. These are the only Oxo products I've bought (so far) that just don't work. The soap dispenser on each of them stopped working within 2 months and despite thorough cleaning never worked again. They do not leak, since, judging by the reviews in previous models, they simply do not emit soap. lowering this to one star when I gave the brush two stars. Squarepants are too wide to fit in fairly…

A different look

I see them differently: I don't expect the soap mechanism to work. (It was a problem even before OXO (soap leaked out the back where the sponge connected to the plastic, and the hose got dirty because the water got in with the soap.) I add the soap (straight from the bottle to the sponge). If needed, and I keep the sponge face up. I don't expect a sponge to remove food (and deliberately didn't get a green face sponge (scrubber) because I don't want to use it that way. By the way, who needs one…

After two or three months of very infrequent use, the soap dispenser's rubber button broke. They use poor quality rubber and make the part too thin. Now soap flows out of the button. Typical rubbish from which country. I will not give the name because I will be censored. Now they're laughing to the bank because more and more stupid Americans are buying this product. Plus, you unscrew the end of the handle to add detergent - a big improvement over the old model. But the engineers messed up the…

I'm buying another one because I really don't have a choice

I'm going to buy another one tonight because I really don't have a choice. This is the best option among several bad options. We have 6 months from the last stick but they could be slightly shorter. My gripe with OXO is that they tend to do great things, but they ignore a flaw in that design — perhaps because it's too expensive to fix. The situation is as follows. We keep the OXO Dish Sponge down, probably like a lot of people. When you fill the wand with soap and seal it tightly enough so that
