Does the performance I want at a reasonable price. It's very strong glass and the top (stainless steel over plastic) looks well made. There are lid stops for closed, small, and large holes, but (for my taste) I find it convenient to place the lid between the small and large hole stops.

I use it as a salt shaker and absolutely love everything about it: shape and minimalist design, capacity: 1 cup, wide mouth that easily fits a teaspoon and even a tablespoon - that locks with a twist - no lid to look for - large holes are perfect for coarse salt which I like to use - makes a nice set with my pepper mill

We use it to hold the cinnamon sugar for our morning cinnamon toast. I was concerned that it would release too much cinnamon sugar all at once, but the sugar comes out in a nice, steady stream - unless you turn it completely upside down, in which case it gushes out pretty quickly. Small holes are too small for cinnamon sugar, but larger holes are ideal. I also really like that I can close it by turning the lid after use. Good product!

OXO SPICE JAR was damaged. I've been an OXO girl for 25 years. I liked the large spice jars with multiple holes for dispensing different spices. I also love that the top seals close for freshness. I bought 1 jar to test the hole size for mashed red peppers, nutritional yeast flakes, minced garlic and onion and it worked for all so I went back and ordered a few more to complete my spice jar organization. ADVICE. TO REMOVE THE STICKER ON THE GLASS BASE HEAT WITH FUN AND THE STICKER WILL BE EASILY

The bottle itself and its construction are solid and of decent quality. For that I give a few stars. However, the holes are *NOT* big enough for red pepper flakes. You must first grind the red pepper flakes for them to come in handy, which shortens the spice's shelf life. If you put them in as is, you'll get small chipped flakes, but the larger flakes and seeds will stay inside. This is a big disappointment. I really like this oxo shaker, as expected, it's full quality. I expect it to be very long. As you can see from my photo, it's a good size, is made of thick glass, and has a two-piece top made of durable plastic and stainless steel. Fill the shaker with whatever you like, twist the lid and you're done.
