They work great, the silicone tips are great and there is a little plastic ring on the bottom to keep them from falling apart when you expand them. They are easy to clean with the tool provided and the case holds them perfectly.

I love the straws, the case is incredibly difficult to open! I've had it for a few months now and I still don't close the case all the way as I can't open it myself which occasionally allows dirt from the wallet to get into the straw.

That's great! They are easy to clean, durable and have a smooth silicone tip. The silicone can be adjusted down to fit the straw in a closed water bottle and then easily pulled back out to be used once the cap is removed.

I like that it can be extended and that the silicone can be removed. As for transportation, I understand that it may seem inconvenient to someone. But if you have a bag or backpack, it can easily be put there. You can also store it in the car (in the center console or in the glove compartment). I think the small inconveniences that the size of the box can cause are worth it. I absolutely recommend this product! It is easy to use, clean and carry.

I've used it with smoothies that I bought in big bottles at the grocery store (the consistency isn't too runny, but not too thick either). Bought because they were NYTimes Wirecutter's top choice for reusable straws. And I have no idea why! There's nothing particularly impressive about these straws; They are like any other metal straw you can buy. The silicone tip is too loose at one end and feels too tight when you flip it - it's not clear how they're even supposed to be used. A tote bag is a nice idea, but impractical.
