OXO Grips Toilet Brush Replacement Review

The picture of the replacement head shows that it is a male thread. The resulting product was an internal thread. I know the new wisdom is that gender identity is what someone says, but in the real world a woman is not related to a woman. This renders the replacement head unusable, it will not attach to the original handle.

Although the brush handle and holder have changed, the brush itself is the same! A few thumbs up here. Manufacturers usually change things just to force customers to buy all new replacement parts. In general, OXO products are always, and hopefully will remain, head and shoulders ahead of mainstream products.

I like the OXO toilet brush. It works well and is inexpensive. However, the price for interchangeable heads is too high. If you only need the brush head, you save only $3 compared to purchasing the entire system (ie, canister and brush head). Check Revain for compatible heads. I found one with 5 star reviews that comes in a pack of 4 and the unit price is less than half an OXO head.

Excellent toilet brush, nice and compact, the bristles stay tight on the outside! Serves its purpose, keeps its shape and has a cute little holder that hides it well. This works much better than the cheap U brushes whose bristles rub off after a few uses. The only downside is that I bought a black set but only found nozzles with a white head. Of course, this doesn't affect the cleaning performance of this brush, but it would be great to find replacement black brush heads too!

Almost what I expected. This is a replacement for my old OXO toilet seat. The bristles at the end of the brush are finally falling out after years of weekly use. It screws on easily and is exactly the same as the old one I replaced. I still use the original jar and handle (spherical jar, not round top) and it cleans just as well as the old one. I was happy to see that I could replace the old brush head instead of having to replace the entire kit.

While I'm not 100% satisfied with the quality of these brushes, I love that I can buy these replacement heads instead of buying a whole set of new brushes. The bristles in these replacement brush heads fall out fairly quickly compared to the toilet brushes I've used in the past. After a few months I start to see white bristles in the canister cup. I have 3 bathrooms and each has an OXO set. Luckily all 3 use the same interchangeable head.

Oxo products are the best! But be careful when ordering this replacement from Revain! The replacement brush head I received did not match the wand I bought last year...when I called Oxo to see if this brush head would fit my toilet brush they said they were out of stock Revain are sometimes quite old. - So if you recently bought a toilet brush cleaner, the replacement head you get from Revain may not work. So be careful! Thank goodness for Revain's amazing return policy/procedure!

I was glad OXO sells replacement brush heads because it would be silly to buy a brand new toilet stick, brush and storage case set. But to be honest, I'm not sure I would go down this path again. When I looked inside the canister (I have an OXO Hideaway Compact) it was gross at the bottom (looks like rust?) and my efforts to clean it weren't very productive.
