Warm me up in this frost! Featured!

We had a cold day today and I was able to check the stockings well. When I went out to clear the snow in the morning, the temperature was only zero degrees. I digged outside for 2 hours and my hands stayed warm and warm the whole time. Impressed with these gloves. I took it with me when I rode my bike. Long cuffs keep your wrists and forearms warm while riding.

Great when they're new, but don't get them wet! NOT WATERPROOF

They started great, fit well and are comfortable. The problem arose when they got wet earlier in the week. The item description and one of their photos say they are "waterproof", not even close. Sorry, but that statement is a blatant lie. As it dried, the leather portion of the glove became rock hard and shrank so much that I couldn't even put my hand through it. It should be noted that I dried them at room temperature and not in front of a heater or other heat source. I've worked a lot with…

Good quality for the price

Split finger mittens are good but they are thick so you will still have a hard time grabbing some things if they are too big for you. My thumbs wouldn't get warm in temperatures below -10 but overall the mittens/gloves are good. My hands stayed warm for the most part, they proved waterproof and I'm happy with that. Dogs love to chew on them, so hold them up. :)

Mitten XL fits like L. Heavy duty workwear

I bought an XL mitten and have to work to put it on. I can wear large gloves from other brands but they feel tight. It used to be ok, but I should have taken XXL instead. The adjustment straps were completely loose but felt like they were a bit tight. The lining felt loose, but that's normal for a mitten. My hands stayed warm. Even shoveling snow they got too warm, so I took off my mittens. My hands were still sweaty but cold, so I put my mittens back on. Wet hands made it difficult to put on…

What are those yellow fluffs?

I already have two pairs of 40g Thinsulate gloves that didn't work for me when I used them for cycling in around 40F. I wanted something that would withstand the wind in cold temperatures while cycling. It was really much better than 40g gloves. It wasn't cold enough here to test how well they performed in freezing weather. The heavier weight of the insulation material makes the glove bulkier, which is to be expected. You can still do most things and have a pretty decent range of motion in your

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

To be honest I didn't even check the mittens/gloves. I live in Minnesota, and if you live in a climate as cold as this, I assume you know the difference between gloves and mittens. For most people, fingers get cold much faster when gloves are worn over mittens because the fingers are separated by material. Keeping fingers together without separating them saves the kick in hard chills. This item is described as looking like mittens, but there are slits inside the material for individual fingers.

Good glove for the price

These gloves are very good for the price. They keep my hands warm on a 20 year old day. The fit was a bit small in the largest size. I usually take 2xx with gloves on. If the inner layers shrink a little, leaving some air between fingers and gloves, they might get a little warmer. It is said that the air space, once warmed by the hands, keeps them warm. The skin seems fine. I wouldn't equate it to a single layer cowhide leather work glove. It seems a little easier. But then again, what are you…

Not suitable for deep-freeze order pickers!

Ideal for protecting hands from the cold in inclement weather, but not good as work gloves in extreme cold. My job averages at least 2,000 cold cases a day. After about 2 hours of repeated scavenging of covers, my fingers froze, and then in my 2nd week of work, the stitching on my left hand split open. My advice, it's fine for maybe raking and cleaning the car, but rubbish for constantly touching cold objects and hands that don't get cold.

  • Best in its niche
