Hair Care Hurts on Hair Accessories

The tips of these hairpins are said to be coated to protect the scalp from cuts or irritation. Most of the coating came off the tips when we took them out of the box because they were sticking together. My 9 year old daughter complains when I make her dance bun that it hurt her and cut her scalp. She doesn't want to use them anymore. Now I have to go back to Sally to get the needles. The bobby pins hold the hair in place well, but it's not worth the pain and irritation.

It hurts, but do your job. Pretty good

As long as they keep the bun in place, they hurry. The rubber tips on the ends slip off after one use and when you put them in your hair you hear a ripping noise and they pull so hard. I've cut my hand on it before and it really hurts to put it in, especially when you're scratching your scalp. Not the best comfort but get the job done. I have had many other pins that hold the bundle with no pain but they just aren't long enough and cause so much pain.

Only for tall people - big hair, big head

Hairpins are good but the description doesn't say they are quite big. They work best on adults and people with very thick long hair.
