Not ball bearing!: my feedback

After having several of these fans start failing within a relatively short period of time (became excessively noisy, low rpm, etc.), I disassembled one to discover that the motor employs a single brass bushing (see attached pics).Note that the original description said ball bearing, but seems to have been recently changed.Would not recommend for anything but light use.

Pros
  • This is a great product
Cons
  • The fans can be challenging to install

Good for the money: my feedback

These fans are decent in noise but whats even better when you wire these to 5v they are almost silent. Mods on both cr10s and flash. Good fan option on the cheap

Pros
  • Computers & Accessories
Cons
  • The brand is not well-respected or reputable

Get what you pay for.

I've ordered these fans a few times for different things. out of the 16 or so that I have bought for 3d printers and various other things maybe 4 still work. The last 4 I bought all 4 were dead within 3 weeks.

Pros
  • For cooling a heat sink.
Cons
  • The product uses too much power

Don’t last long: my feedback

A little disappointed that these only last about 3 months and then stop working. They work great st first but then spin less and less till they finally die. I’m using these to circulate air inside my humidor. So maybe they’re just made to be used in an environment with 65% humidity. Now I’m using USB fans instead which appear far superior.

Pros
  • Worked as expected
Cons
  • Fans are noisy and disruptive

Great for Monoprice Mini Delta

This takes the noise level down from "jet taking off" to "most normal PCs" on a Monoprice Mini Delta. On mine, I had to reverse the wires, but that took less than a minute. After that, it was plug and play.Much, much quieter than stock. I don't know if there's a CFM difference, but I'm betting that as long as the mainboard has some sort of cooling, it'll do just fine.

Pros
  • they are quite
Cons
  • The fans aren't very efficient or effective

Ruined my incubator

My fan in my incubator went out, and these were supposed to work in it. However, after hooking this fan up, my whole incubator is fried! The fan was hooked up properly, but it still ruined my entire electronics in the incubator.

Pros
  • Pretty quiet for the size and air flow. They're working great and cooling is just fine. Thank you
Cons
  • Doesn't offer sufficient air flow

Might not work well in cold environments

Used these fans inside a Norcold 2 door absorption fridge. After 1.5 monts sound like one is having a bearing issue. Starting to make a growling noise.

Pros
  • Pretty simple, bought and works perfect as intended.
Cons
  • The fans are not durable or long-lasting

Good for short term or low rpm use

I bought these fans for general projects that didn't require high reliability cooling, granted I ended up putting the first one in my 3d printer's psu to bring the noise level down. These are quiet for sure but the one I installed didn't even last a full month with on and off use with my 3d printer.Buy another brand if you need long term use, these are great for cheap cooling on a small project though.

Pros
  • Item was just as described and great for the project I purchased it for. Zero complaints.
Cons
  • The fans are too bulky and take up too much space

will silence your raspberry 4

I used them with a raspberry 4, and they are very efficient and silent.Of course, it doesn't fit in the case, I simply used rubber band to attach it to the board. For me, this was more important to have a silent unit over having a case.May be someone has a case they could recommend with it but again this was not my priority.

Pros
  • Good quality at a Great Price.
Cons
  • Fans can be too heavy and weigh down devices
