Type of review

I got these hiking socks for my husband prior to a hiking trip through Zion, Bryce, Buckskin Gulch, and the Grand Canyon. They have held up great and he constantly commented about how comfortable they kept his feet. We're super happy customers and would order again!

Pros
  • Soft and stretchy materials provide a custom fit
Cons
  • May not be comfortable for all-day wear

Fantastic socks! - my new review

Fantastic socks! I bought them to go on a long 30 miile weekend hike where it ended up raining ferociously for most of the trip and these socks kept me especially warm, fit particularly comfortably and were very comfortable. In fact, there my sock of choice when doing anything aground the house or something besides dressing up for work. Would highly recommend!

Pros
  • High-quality materials make for socks that will last you many adventures
Cons
  • May not be as durable as advertised

My favorite socks for my opinion

These socks are incredibly comfortable, maintain warmth decently, and are not overly bulky (good for everyday use, not just hiking). Purchased them for a camping trip with lots of hiking, and the socks held up well throughout the weekend (not as much foot soreness as usual). I enjoyed them so much, I wear them almost every day.

Pros
  • Tore one pair as I put them on but very comfy
Cons
  • The socks may not stand up well to frequent washing

Happy Hiker Hooves for my opinion

I’ve had these for almost two years, and they’ve held up great. They’re made of thick fabric, yet they REALLY hug your feet.As far as sizing, I’m a bit confused. I wear size 13 shoes, and the socks I have fit great, yet I see the current sizing options only go up to size 11. Did I get a size that is no longer offered? Do the size 9-11 work for size 13 feet? Unclear. Makes me hesitate to but again, even though I’d love to otherwise!

Pros
  • Reinforced toe box helps to prevent holes and wear
Cons
  • The socks may shrink or stretch out after washing

Hiker Must! best in my review

Purchased these for my husband to carry in his emergency bug-out bag. Tested them out on a hike in Yosemite in September, they are wonderful, lightweight and feel great in any temperature. It is always important to keep your feet as dry as possible in any situation, but especially in an emergency situation.

Pros
  • The pack of 5 socks ensures you have enough for multiple hiking or climbing outings
Cons
  • The socks may not be breathable enough for some individuals

My favorite socks on my review.

I absolutely love these socks. They're not too thick but they are so warm. They're marginally thicker than a basic athletic sock, but way more cushioned and warm without being sweaty. I only wear them with my work boots.Great socks for the price, xl fit my size 12 feet perfectly, HIGHLY recommended. :)

Pros
  • Provides added protection against blisters and hotspots
Cons
  • The material may be too stiff or rigid for some individuals

Great Socks in my review

Awesome socks are awesome. Haven't had them long enough to write about durability - but they certainly seem like they're going to hold up. I don't hike long distances in these socks, or wear them in sub zero temps.

Pros
  • Suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities
Cons
  • The socks may not stay dry during wet or rainy conditions

Pretty comfortable best in my review

Really comfortable in general, but there are a lot of loose ends inside, which get caught between my toes. It's a weird sensation and not my favorite. But they're a good price and a good weight: cushioned enough that I can wear them with new work boots and not get blisters, but thin and breathable enough that I don't overheat.

Pros
  • Ideal for all skill levels, from novice hikers to expert climbers
Cons
  • The material may be too thin or flimsy for some individuals

Best socks for boots

I've been buying these compression hiking socks for about 4 years now. Still impressed to this day.Comfortable and great for boots. Buyers beware that these are not regular socks, they are compression socks and are designed to fit snug. Expect a tight fit.

Pros
  • Perfect for beginner climbers or hikers who are building up their gear collection
Cons
  • The cushioning may cause friction in some shoes

Work fantastic in my review

These keep my feet warm and they do not shrink or unravel. I have made multiple orders of them. They are every bit as good as SmartWool socks that are $25 a pair.

Pros
  • Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
Cons
  • The price may be too high for some customers

My favorite socks for my opinion

Had these for almost 2 years. I have been through 3 pairs of work boots and these still fit nice and snug and have yet to get a hole.I work in the industrial maintenance setting and standing on a machine heated to 600 degrees happens from time to time. These help keep my feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Definitely worth the money. May buy another set to have for when these finally do get worn out.Update: after 4 years of use I have yet to have a single pair become stretched or…

Pros
  • Great value for a pack of five performance socks
Cons
  • May not prevent blisters as well as other socks

The best hiking socks I've found.

I do a lot of hiking and have searched for different socks from different manufacturers, including REI. These are by far and away the best hiking socks I have found regarding comfort and fit. Throw in the 6pack and price, it can't be beat. I recommend these socks for anyone looking for a comfortable fit, either around the house or on the trails!

Pros
  • Sport Specific Clothing
Cons
  • Some individuals may experience discomfort from the seams

Nice warm socks - but not for serious hiking

These are nice casual socks I wouldn't wear them for serious hiking as they won't stand up to that use. They are though great for wearing during cold weather months. I'd but them again, I like to coloring and overall fit.

Pros
  • The perfect blend of style and function
Cons
  • The material may cause sweating or overheating in some individuals

Worked great for my treks in the Costa Rican Rainforest

These socks performed well during my hikes in the Costa Rican rainforest. I was deep in the forest for several days, and these performed well by preventing blisters and drying quickly.

Pros
  • Gift for son with some Merells. He is very happy with both
Cons
  • The cushioning may not be sufficient for some individuals

Comfortable in my review

Using these socks with military uniform in field training environment. Have worn a pair for 3 days and wick sweat away nicely for an inexpensive sock. Almost compares to a fox river sock.

  • Men
Cons
  • Not suitable for individuals with allergies to specific materials

The best thin sock value!

I am a real stickler for my feet. I have way too many pairs of hiking boots, dress shoes, and hiking shoes and trail runners. I have a foot fetch so to speak and these socks work the best. The Best

Pros
  • Quick drying material won’t leave your feet feeling damp
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with corns or calluses

  • May not be suitable for individuals with overpronation or underpronation issues

Good quality hiking socks.

Used it for a 6 miles hike. It seems holding up fine. They are good quality socks and 5 pairs for the price.I would prefer the socks with same color. Since each pairs are in different colors, I can't mix and match.

Pros
  • Soft materials feel great against your skin
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with flat feet

Excellent hiking socks.

These sock are well made and wick sweat away very nicely. The cushioning is just right and does not make my shoes too tight.I will be buying more of this brand.
