Despite the good ratings, these speakers are in no way inferior to the original speakers in terms of sound quality. The volume is a little lower and they sound "tinier". The original had a little more bass. So it looks like you get what you pay for and expecting the same quality as the original is unrealistic.

The sound is anything but original. Barely acceptable. Both of my MacBook's speakers burned out, so it was nice to have an inexpensive audio solution without having to constantly connect to an external Bluetooth speaker. They get an extra star for their cheap price and new convenience.

Read reviews of this from the back quieter than the original and with less impact. I don't hear it at all. I installed and switched only one side that blew, it sounded the same in volume and clarity. It was a little quieter initially when I installed it, but before closing the back of the laptop, I pushed in and made sure the connector was tight, which fixed it immediately. Perfect and recommended for the price!

If another customer review had been posted prior to my purchase I would never have bought this one. They're not difficult to install, but the sound quality is below average, and as another reviewer noted, doesn't compare to genuine Apple speakers. I ordered these to replace the rattling speakers in my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina. I placed an order this morning and they arrived with a tool kit I ordered early afternoon. Replaced speakers last night. Very easy to swap out and they fit perfectly. Well done Revane for the quick delivery. The sound quality is okay.
