Amazing cheap camera with many features

I bought this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 to replace my old Fuji Finepix digital camera from the 1990's. I took him on holiday in May and couldn't be happier. It's intuitive to use and takes incredibly clear, wonderful shots. I used it daily for a week and the battery lasted all the time - which is good because we were in Europe and didn't have a voltage adapter for the charger to plug into an outlet. This little camera is compact enough to fit in a purse or pocket and was a dream to use. Digital…

Great camera for DSLRs

At first I wasn't happy with this camera. I was planning a trip to Alaska and decided to look for another camera. I compared the image sharpness to mine and found my image was sharper. Then I realized that I wasn't doing my job well. A little further I saw a Panasonic Lumix display for the new cameras. I watched a video and they were talking about the "iA" attitude. The new ones have it on the tuning wheel. And in my opinion it is next to the trigger. I tried it and my photos were perfect…

An excellent "constant companion " of the camera.

As someone once said, the best camera is the one you have with you whenever you want it. This small, very powerful little camera meets these requirements well; This is a very convenient size for a purse, pocket or belt. I take my camera with me everywhere and I often use it as a kind of "visual notepad" for example to photograph things that need fixing or repairing around the house or yard. The 8x lens is great, the controls are simple and accessible. After using this camera for 2 or 3 days, I…

Great camera. steal for less than $150. At $119, that's not a problem. If you need a new camera, get this one. Night shots with flash are good. The flash range is slightly shorter than some cameras, although the IA auto is 99% perfect. Settings for you and does a wonderful job. You'll be taking pictures (good ones) within minutes. It has about 25 different presets to choose from if you want to do the same. use. He is very fast. Autofocus is almost instantaneous. It has a burst mode that…

Good camera for the price

I hesitated between buying this camera and more expensive Lumix like zX5 or ZX7. My previous camera was a Sony Cybershot T-33 with a Carl Zeiss lens and I was so impressed with it that I thought I needed a Leica lens in the Lumix. (There were just a few things I never liked about my Sony and when it broke after 4 years of use I decided to replace it with another brand.) In 2006 I paid about $150 for my Cybershot (it was a 5MP ), so I expected to spend about the same amount this time. I would…

User friendliness; High quality pictures

At the time of writing this article I have had 3 of these cameras and there hasn't been an atom of problems with any of them. I have 36 cameras in my collection ranging from the 1894 Kodak Panorama to the 8x10 View Camera and top quality Nikons. Like many others, I carried my gear in a large camera bag that was becoming increasingly cumbersome. There were two key insiders I was supposed to photograph, but I couldn't because I didn't bother to grab the "big bag". This prompted me to purchase a…

Awesome little camera!

I wanted a professional quality custom camera and almost got it. Sure, there are settings on the DSLR that this camera doesn't have, but it's point and shoot. For someone like me with no photographic experience who just wants great photos of kids, this camera is perfect. easy to set up, easy to use. I love Smart Auto, I just leave it and take pictures. I love the Baby Chase Burst mode (literally LOL) and overall I'm very happy with this purchase. UPDATE 4-10-11 took this camera to New York for…

Decent camera for this price

I've had a few Panasonic cameras over the years. They were all point and shoot, like this one. I bought it in September 2010 and took over 3,000 photos in a wide range of conditions. On the plus side, battery life is good. Panasonic has historically used AA batteries, which is a good thing as you can buy spares to use as a last resort if your rechargeable batteries run out. But I've found that AA batteries don't last as long, can't be recharged as often, and are certainly heavier than the…

I love this camera: camera and photo

I received this camera last week, I am very satisfied. I used to use the very basic Kodak EasyShare program, but I wanted something that would give me more zoom and allow me to take better close-ups. so easy to use) but it turned out not to be a problem at all. Screen modes are easy to read and understand (icons can be set large or small). I love having a full user manual as part of the software - it was easy to read the manual and get a good overview of the camera and then explore more…
