Real Plug and Play. I didn't bother to read the instructions. I bought this DVD player to replace a broken built in DVD player in my 30 year old analogue TV. So far I've watched DVDs from Japan, Brazil, Australia, the UK and the US with no problems. No settings are required when changing regions. Picture quality is significantly better than the unreliable built-in DVD player it replaces. I was so satisfied in the first week that I ordered another one, which I connected to my new flat screen TV.

I bought this product to watch DVDs from Europe, USA and Japan on a computer. Someone put a sticker on the box that said "Region Free" and that's how it appears in the listings, but the machine itself is only labeled Region 2. All I got was a greyscale fuzz on the tv, or the machine said it was playing and then randomly stopped (showed the stop icon on the tv) with no explanation.
