But they work very well.

Stamps work well. Using metal stamps takes practice, so practice on annealed scrap first. LOTS of practice. I would have given five stars but the box arrived covered with tape as if the box had been taped all over and the bottom then left in the summer sun for a few days. The rubbing alcohol washed away the glue, but it was pretty rough.

Press very hard!

I bought this to print information on the back of medals (e.g. race medals). This set is great - it has all the letters I need and seems to stamp well in this type of metal. The hit is great but hard to understand - I didn't press hard enough at first and didn't think it would work. And there are no instructions. So PUSH REALLY HARD until it bursts. However, make sure you keep the letter VERY flat on the surface as it is very easy to get only part of the letter.

Good set for the price

I bought this to stamp words on 1" blocks of wood and it works really well for that. The letters are a little hard to see as they don't stick out very far. I worked on this by lightly rubbing the stamp with an ink pad. (Pictures show with and without ink) The punch/stamp tool is really good. You press on the end until it "pops" and the letter is printed onto your material, no real effort or other tools required. I only had a few issues with the product.
