Glue performs best in terrarium heat lamps and mats

I have 3 of these and they get very hot but the glue didn't work on any. I've wiped the glass thoroughly with alcohol before each use, but still no luck. I tried tape but couldn't get good contact with the glass and they still bubbled/peeled.

Pros
  • 3M adhesive backed for permanent installation
Cons
  • Expensive

Be sure to read the instructions!

I wanted to return this product because when I woke up to check on my frog the mat wasn't sticking to the tank. Well I love Pangea products so I want to try again. I put the gasket back on and this time it got stuck. You have to plug it in for a while and then stick it back on to make it stick to the tank.

Pros
  • Best for terrestrial species
Cons
  • Almost never

Works as intended but may need a thermostat.

I needed a slightly cooler temperature for my leopard geckos than this product provides. I set the thermostat to her preferred temperature and hooked up this unit to it. and now it's perfect. I checked the temperature with a laser thermometer after installing it under the terrarium and before deciding to add a thermostat. It produced between 100-110F; a little warmer than our geckos prefer.

Pros
  • Acts as an additional heat source without additional light
Cons
  • I will add later
