It does the job

This is a pass/fail test because the attenuator either works or it doesn't. It works well and is well made. I appreciate the attached schematic! This product is being tested! I will definitely buy another product from this company again.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

A great thing to turn on the amp without waking up the neighbors.

I use the L-Pad regularly to crank my guitar amp's tubes without using the adjacent tubes. I've always made sure the pad's power rating is at least twice the amp's power rating. Increase the volume/gain and use the pad to decrease the sound. No need to pay hundreds for attenuators! Remember that the impedance must match the amplifier and speakers!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Works well and appears to be well built,

Works well and seems well built. I am using this as an independent volume control on a Firehouse radio surveillance system. Max output is 18 watts from the radio, which is less than half the power of the L-PAD, so I can't say I'm pushing it heavily, but it definitely handles that power well. Being almost a set-and-forget app, I don't see any problems with the unit due to wear and tear, and since the radio has a low audio output duty cycle and receives relatively short transmissions at times, I…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
