I wear pants with a 34 waist and initially ordered a size 35 belt which turned out to be a bit small. The size 35 belt was tight around my waist, but once it was on it had a not long enough tail. I sent the belt back and ordered a belt size 39. This size was about 1 inch longer, but the package includes instructions and a handy leather punch to reduce the length of the belt. So farm, it looks like a fair bit of skin. I ordered a size up which I didn't need to do but as they say shortening the strap is pretty easy. All you need is a hammer and something to cut the leather with. I trimmed it a few inches and so far so good. I'm considering ordering another color. I wear jeans but this is an office environment so I prefer to tuck my shirts in and this is a great looking casual belt that goes well with casual shoes or oxford style boots.
