A Sticky Mess: my feedback

Based on my observations, this sticky grid is a nightmare for cross-stitch enthusiasts. The adhesive is too strong, leaving residue and making it difficult to blend colors. The only pro is the tear-away feature, but it hardly outweighs the cons. Save yourself the frustration and find an alternative.

Pros
  • Easy to use and remove
Cons
  • Requires scissors to cut desired size, which could be inconvenient for some users

Great product for unusual knitting projects

This set is great for counting cross stitch upholstery fabrics for cushions. There is a learning curve as the pattern is (for good reason) glued to the back of the fabric so all stitches are sewn backwards. Great product for adding that detail to craft fabrics without a needle.

Pros
  • Counted Sets
Cons
  • Not sure

Does not completely dissolve under small stitches

I bought it for cross stitch on an uneven canvas. After the project was completed I found that the paper under the cross stitches didn't really unravel. I soaked it; I wiped it; I did everything I could to try and get all that paper out of there. Looks quite good but I'm not sure I'll ever use it again. I think the mesh option that turns into a gel, although more expensive, could be a product to use. I think if you were going to use it for very large stitches it might be ok. He printed a copy…

Pros
  • cross stitch
Cons
  • I don't remember
