How does this even do the job?

There are no clear instructions on how to program this for what it was advertised for. NONE! The instructions on the website were of absolutely no use at all.

Not recognized at boot by my BIOS; can't program with media Play/Pause key

I needed a little basic keyboard with f2 and f10 keys and cursor keys so I could control my PC's boot (change drive). It was convenient to program two of this keyboard's keys with f2 and f10 (and I tested them in apps) but for some reason my PC still doesn't spot the keyboard during boot so I'm stuck with a (second) full sized keyboard to control boot. Cheapest programmable numpad, but still good quality

For the price, absolutely great. The numpad has good keys that are nice to press and feel like decent quality. They aren't mechanical, but have been fine for me. The numpad is a bit misleading in the photos, but it actually comes with a detachable micro-USB cable which is a nice bonus. Makes my work life easier and faster

Excellent product in use. Makes life easier by programming the function keys to eliminate multiple repetitive keystrokes into one keystroke. Only wish that it had instructions on how to program the keys. I emailed the company and they were very responsive and sent the instructions. After that it was a breeze. I definitely recommend the product.

Works on Mac once programmed

I tried several others before landing on this one. I’m on a mac and had to go through the hassle of finding a PC owner to program it for me. But then it worked - just as intended. Other number pads had fatal flaws: the cordless ones would go to sleep and miss the first data entry upon wakeup. Others would work for some programs but would type weird characters in Excel. This one simply works.

Great for DIY macros

I bought this thing to use as a VR macro keypad (bought a go-pro arm strap-mount and 3d-printed a bracket for it) expecting it to be a massive pain to program. Instead, it has been extremely flexible and the key-binding application allows for all sorts of uses.This is well worth the price.

Almost completely dysfunctional on any machine that doesn't use windows

They advertise the macros as being programmable onto the device, but don't be fooled- if you program the actual keys on a windows machine, it is impossible to carry the settings over to any other machine. Basically, they keypad is a memory stick that saves your macro settings for when you connect it to another windows machine. If you use any macro, or any programmed keys, whatsoever, you're out of luck unless you have a windows machine. On any Mac, Chromeos, and Linux, it will never be anything

One of the current top comments states that macros can only be written to X1, X2 and X3. That is completely false. I have macros written on almost every button on the keypad.His other statements are wrong, as well.I am using this on a Tormach CNC machine to expedite certain keypresses.I have written keyboard, mouse and combo macros and it works perfectly.Want one button to type an entire sentence for you?
