Great quality for Craft

I bought a set thinking they would wear out quickly but I still use the first one. They're much better built than I thought. I've used them on everything from thin linen threads to waxed nylon threads up to 1.2mm thick and even some tarred bench linen. It survived it all and still cuts like new.

Big Little Scissors

I actually call these wire cutters and not scissors because they are small and fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. You will receive a set of three, so always have a pair. I will say these wire cutters are very sharp so keep them away from pets and small children. Great price for a set of 3

Not for macrame, only for sewing.

Was looking for some macrame scissors. These kept popping up. They arrived very quickly. When I first tried to use it for macrame, I didn't cut the cord. I also pinched my middle finger with the handle and got a bloody blister. They are made for sewing, not macrame. Completely useless to me. I'm frustrated when this list kept popping up when I was looking for macrame scissors. waste of money for me.

Great scissors for small jobs

When you need sharp scissors for small cuts these are perfect. They are held permanently open by a spring at the base of the metal handle, so a light push is all it takes to make an incision. Since they stay open when dormant, I wouldn't recommend keeping them where small children can reach them. They are also great for trimming thread from clothing, trimming candle wicks, and trimming houseplants.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good and Bad Craft Supplies

You never know what you're going to get! I ordered the first set, everything fit perfectly. Sharp, properly aligned to always cut. But they are small and I lost a pair so I reordered them. This party wasn't that good. One was great, the other was so-so - the alignment was wrong so they didn't always cut. The third goes straight into the trash. Then because they are so cheap I bought the 3rd set! I believe at least one or two will work just fine. Of course, if I bought these three times, they…

Better than expected from other reviews.

All 3 pairs are very sharp, easy to use, fine workmanship. The downside is that they don't close and don't have a protective cap. Another reviewer also complained about these shortcomings. I overcame them by covering the scissors with a rubber band and then reinforcing the plastic case they come in with a double layer of tape. So they are protected when not in use. It's a pleasure to use. I wanted to give something to my daughter and granddaughter but I really like them. I think I need to buy…

One of the three works fine, the other two are fine

First: for trimming thread for sewing machines (V30 and V46 100% poly thread for making sails as well as regular cotton/polyester) All three these scissors work flawlessly and if that is all I wanted from them they would get a 5/5. For more slippery things like the 100-pound Dyneema/Spectra only has one of the three blades hard enough to cut through. The other two pairs have less/weaker tension on the spring holding the blades together and they simply bend the thread without cutting it. Only…

Excellent cheap thread scissors

I've been using these exclusively as thread scissors for a month and a half and they have always stayed sharp. They cut tighter than the Fiskars parts shears I've used for this purpose. I've found that the design makes them easier to grab, use and store between sewing seams than loop scissors, and the lack of loops also means they fit easily in my sewing machine's accessory tray. Oil patina (presumably to protect against moisture before sale). I was able to remove it fairly easily with a paper…
