Beautiful and strong though.

The pentagonal base (for my hob) is nice and heavy, but here are my issues with it: It's slightly larger than the circumference of the PBC. The screw holes were small and I had to hammer the screws into the holes. Because of this, I couldn't get screws into the holes that were hidden by the flange. So I only used 2 bolts per wheel. I think it will be enough to hold the wheels but not a very good design.

Perfect for PBC

I bought this exclusively for my PBC to roll on the patio and it's perfect for that. As some other reviewers have pointed out, the screws fit the holes snugly. This is due to the coating applied to the device. I found it easy to line up the bolts and tighten with a ratchet. After a few turns, the coating wears away enough for the screws to go in. As instructed, you must insert the bolts head down so that the threaded portion of the bolt that protrudes past the nut does not interfere with the…

Great well made cart

I have an 8" Dobsonian (Apertura AD8) that needs a cart and this fits perfectly. It leaves about 1/2 inch space around the base so the telescope can be easily rotated in the carriage. It's very durable and can withstand a lot more than my 55 pounds. Telescope. I also have PBC and could get another one of these carts for her. The assembly wasn't difficult, but it did take a bit of work. In the photo it looks unpainted but is thick heavy metal covered in silver enamel. Overall great product.

Sturdy and rolls well, but tedious to assemble

Purchased for a plastic trash can about 16 inches wide. The carriage is a bit wider for a trash can but the rim holds it and I used packing material to better fit the base. The photo in the advert is deceptive if you position the studs (as I tried) the longer end at the ground tightens the wheels and blocks the free movement of the wheels. Also, the gauge does not show the bolts inside the triangular areas on the outer rim where the bolts are difficult to tighten due to their strength. Check…

Great product if you don't mind touching things up

This product is very well made. It's durable, smooth, and the finish is pretty heavy. It would be ideal if I didn't have to change screws to get it working. Some assembly work is required, rollers need to be installed which is not a big problem for me as a former heavy equipment mechanic. However, the bolts supplied to attach the wheels were too long and prevented the wheels from turning. Like I said, I'm an old hand mechanic and I have the tools and experience to just make what I did work; I…

but i let laziness get the best of me

very well done, surprisingly nonetheless. That lasts a lifetime. For this reason I gave five stars. For my application, that was overkill (and then a little). I bought this to transport my 30 gallon Behrens can to my garage wood shop. I use it with a cyclone lid to catch large wood shavings and accidentally picked up items (like screws etc) before they can damage my dust bag. I probably should have just built my own platform and attached some wheels, but I let my laziness get the better of me…

For my PBC for Dollies

Used for PBC (stove in the pit) which fits nicely with the bottom bolts with about an extra inch of space/spacer between the plate and the rim ring (rim?) of the cart. It's fairly heavy-duty (1000 lb capacity), while the welds don't look particularly pretty, I suspect they'll survive three or four PBCs. both are very cold to the touch (no sign of thermal radiation causing problems with PBC at 300*F; cart frame cold and wheels cold). If this becomes a problem in the summer then I take a round…
