I bought two of these filters and I am completely satisfied with the product. Brass and copper fittings and connections were used, with PVC ball valves at the inlet and outlet of the filters there were no leaks. Some of the brass and plastic threads seemed a bit loose so I used both pipe protection tape and pipe thread sealant on all the fittings and it worked great. I installed this unit in my home as the "first line of defense" in my filtration system. It is designed for sediment blocking filters so my UV filter ensures clean water gets in. So far it has served its purpose very well with a 5 micron string filter. I'll give a reliability rating later when I've accumulated enough hours.
