LOVE THIS FILTER in water filtration and softening systems

Fantastic filter! At first I thought the filter wasn't working because I couldn't see the dirt that had accumulated in the transparent filter housing. I called Pentek and they found that the filter traps sediment deep in the first layer and uses the trapped sediment to facilitate filtration. Pulled out the filter after 3 months of use and it was FILLED with sediment. Many times more than the whirlpool filters I have used. My wife has also noticed a significant reduction in deposits in ourโ€ฆ

A big improvement over pleated filters.

These are really good filters. My last 9 months or more (still no reduction). They don't have surface loading like corrugated ones. and they have a finer filter performance. We use the CoOp water system, our water comes from Cypress Springs Lake in East Texas and there is some sand and algae in our water, these filters remove it and last a long time. I will not buy pleated filters again as they are much better. In the attached photo after 9 months of use and a new filter still in the box. Iโ€ฆ

Great filter for the whole house

Great filter for the whole house. We are at the village well. We could not determine a loss of pressure. I replaced it for the first time today after 2 months (4 people in the house). It definitely serves its purpose. It was filled with silt to the innermost layers, about 1 micron in size. I installed a three stage large blue filter system, then a pH neutralizer and finally a UV system. The first chamber is a washable 30 micron sediment filter. I cleaned it today; it was pretty dirty after 2โ€ฆ

Excellent filter for iron particles and deposits. For use with RFFE20-BB to remove solids and dilute iron from well water

This is an excellent filter for removing iron solids and other debris from well water. It can be paired with Pentek RFFEE20-BB filter which can remove diluted iron and hydrogen sulfide from water. We use these two filters in a downhole system and install the DGD 5005 and RFFE20-BB after the accumulator but before the water heater - the installation order is accumulator, then DGD-5005, then RFFE20-BB, then water heater. In our setup, these filters remove approximately 4ppm of iron from theโ€ฆ
