🚿 Pentek P 250A Water Filter for Underwater Applications Review

Seems to work the same as all the other filters I've used but got them at a better price. Don't forget to change the o-rings when the water pressure drops.

I ordered it about a year ago but still haven't had to install it. And when I opened the shrink wrap, I noticed that the white filter had ripped in the middle and black dust was coming out. Needless to say, this is useless.

I don't know what happened, I've been ordering these filters for many years and now the last ones were terrible, a lot of black dots in the water, tried several times to wash these dots under running water many times . not satisfied, I send them back.

I have been using these Pentek water filters for 3 years now, they provide exceptionally good drinking water that tastes just like bottled spring water. Here's a tip for those of you who, like me, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated: Fill a 1-gallon pitcher or open pitcher the night before and let it breathe (outgas) overnight. Just try.

Although the name and model number says "P-250A" this is more of a standard P-250 filter. The difference is that the Pentek/Pentair P-250 does NOT filter out MTBE like the Pentek/Pentair P-250A does. MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether) is a common gasoline additive commonly found in US municipal drinking water and groundwater as it is a common contaminant in the US.

I introduced my neighbors to this inexpensive and convenient water purification system and now they're loving it. A few months ago they were without a filter for several days and while waiting for a new filter from Revain to arrive they did a blind taste test using both filtered and unfiltered water. All 4 family members chose filtered water as the tastiest, and they did so in Portland, Oregon where the water is already known for its purity and taste.

A guy came to the house trying to sell me a water supply system. He had everything to test my water and drew water from a water bottle I had in the pantry, in our sink, and in our filtration system. When he tested the samples to show me how to purchase his system, the water coming out of our current filter did not contain chlorine or any of the other substances he tested! Even bottled water from the store contained chlorine which shocked me, but not in the water from this filter! Great filter!

Best price I've found on Revain and other sites for dual cartridge system filters. They fit nicely in a standard 10 foot cartridge system and our water tastes pretty good, almost like there's a polishing filter in the line. The best combination of price and durability I've found. However, I believe the "lifespan" listed on these filters is just a comparison! Your water filtration needs and usage will require you to change them more frequently.

my last 2 purchases were significantly inferior compared to previous orders. They typically last 6 months before the flow diminishes and you need to replace. But mine lasted less than 3 weeks in a normal course. After that he went to a very low expense which is unusual and uncharacteristic of my previous purchases.
