I gave this unit 5 stars because it fits perfectly on the back of my modem and because even with shipping it's cheaper than other similar suppressors. There's not much to say about the built in surge protection for your coaxial cable. I installed mine on a line from a TV antenna to protect it from lightning strikes. This one is good for multiple uses and couldn't be easier to install.

Used for the built-in coaxial cable before the Y-splitter to the TV and broadband router. The appearance of the product was different from the picture as mentioned by others. All caps "SURGENDER (and below) SE - 1" has the word "Taiwan" embossed on the molding around the coaxial connector. The product failed after about 1 month. I lost my internet connection and it came back after I removed the built-in network filter.

Was easy to install but no way to test it, just hope it does what it says on the tin. It can't hurt, doesn't attenuate the signal at my antenna, sends DC power to my antenna booster, and is so cheap I've installed it on my satellite receiver line and my cable modem line. I installed mine right after the internal ground block for maximum safety.
