My employer requires that we wear black trousers and i started with levi jean style pants. They were uncomfortable and i did not care for them. I ordered the Savane pants based on the reviews on ebay's web site. All i can say is that all the guys that said these pants were outstanding were absolutely correct. Pants fit well! Im 6'6 with a 42" waist, so i dont often get to shop out in town :) i tried these on as soon as i got them to see how they fit, amazing! Great pants, i only gave it 4 stars since i havent actually worn them, so im not sure how theyll hold up just yet!so far so good though!

They fit well, but after a month the thing begins to wear out. This is apparently a known issue. Let me put it very blutly, men buying big and tall pants are big men, having the thigh fray white makes it look like we have powdered sugar on our legs from bushing off our hands after scarfing down a couple dozen mini doughnuts- not entirely professional.

I would give it Five stars but I seem to tear a pair every three to four months. These pants are FANTASTIC! They fit perfectly, and are very comfortable! I have bought about 4 pairs of these. I have a hard time finding pants that fit because I have big thighs (even for my waist size) and short legs, but these are the best fitting pants I have found at a fairly reasonable price - though the price is a little high considering how long they last. They don't fall apart, but they do wear out the crotch seam faster than some higher end pants. I really like the fit and comfort of these Savane pants -- I have them in two colors. But the darker colors show wear by having the color rub away or wash off, so they look more worn than they really are (for instance, along the edge of the fly, where the head of the zipper makes a slight bump in the fly flap, and along the edges of packets), and then they're not as good for everyday office wear as they could be. I have owned several pair of Savane dress pants over the past few years. Comfortable fit, just a little big in the thigh and seat area. Looks great with a v-neck sweater and a button down Oxford shirt, perfect for casual days at the office and dressed weekend dinners out with a pair of loafers. Washes well, just remove while slightly damp from dryer to avoid ironing.

I have ordered several pairs of these pants, up to this pair I never had a problem, the hem of the pant leg came undone which at that point I stepped on it, and at the seem of the hem it tore very easy.

I have been buying these pants for years, and the quality stays consistently high. The fit is great. The comfort band accommodates my few pound fluctuations up and down. The rise is good, fitting me (wide and short) without hanging to my knees or a super baggy butt. They wash well, over and over, with no ironing or wrinkles. My only complaint, and it is a personal issue is that the buttonhole is a little small/tight. Add to that the sewn button, it makes people, like me, with dexterity issues have issues.I use a knife to increase the buttonhole size and most recently started adding jean style buttons to the pants. Makes it much easier.

I've always been a Docker's man. But these Savane khaki's are so much superior, in every way, that I can't believe I ever settled for Dockers. The material in these pants is heavy enough to be durable, yet is nice and soft and looks fantastic. It is also much more durable than the other brands I've been wearing. The belt loops and waistband are also nicely tailored. I could go on and on, because honestly I'll never wear anything else again. Love these pants.

I’m big *and* tall (6’4”, 300 lbs) and I wear size 46/34 in pants (a hard size to find because most pants are made for people who are shorter and fat or tall and thin) so when I saw these were available in my size I snatched them up. My husband is a big guy. Finding pants that fits his waste and is long enough has been a challenge. Most times they have the waste but the length of the pant is 30 or 32. while these aren't my favorite pants to wear to work, they suffice and are part of my rotation. I tend to wear these on the day the rest of my clothese go the the dry cleaners.they are a little more stiff than the dress slacks I like. they remind me of my days wearing khaki dockers to work versus wearing dress slacks.

My standard comparison for black pants like this are the St. John's Bay pants formerly sold by a major retailer who has chosen to discontinue making clothes for adults who work, for incomprehensible reasons. I own many pairs of that pant and now face having to find a replacement hopefully just as good or at least reasonably similar. Packaging and shipping was great on this item. I would, however, advise anyone ordering to order a size larger than they normally would. These felt and were quite small for the size ordered. I have much older pants with a size 44 waist that fit considerably better than these that were ordered as 46 waist. Either they were mis-marked or they run quite a lot smaller than advertised. Other than that, I was satisfied with the purchase.

I bought these pants for my hubby to wear to work. He is 6’9” tall and 270#. The pants fit well (42x36) and were roomy enough for him to move and bend, and the ankles had enough room to fit over his work boots. The color (black) doesn’t look like it will withstand many washes but we’ll have to see how that goes later. That’s the reason for the 3stars.
