Shopping spree. - Hand and power tools

A few screws worked well, then I realized I had gone too far. Tried resetting the Tourqe and worked a few more times and then went wide again without a click. The price was great if you could trust it more than a few times.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Good for DIY; Made in Taiwan

Good price for infrequent DIY use. I can confirm it was accurate to 225 lb ft. Used a few times. I don't know how long it will stay in calibration. Probably not the best choice for a pro. But looks well built. Made in Taiwan.

Cons

Check the binding but at the bottom of the handle

Quality materials. But the jam, but in me was loose. That way it won't inhale over 100 ftlbs. I had to disassemble and fix it. On the same day it was necessary to tighten the nuts. So I didn't wait for a replacement. So far everything works fine after my repair.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Only available in black

We bought this product on 02/07/17 and after several uses on 6 sets of 550lbs wheel hubs the shaft broke on 12/10/17. We are very disappointed! And the idea of this "hand tool" being guaranteed for life when "torque wrenches" from this manufacturer are only guaranteed for 90 days is even more disappointing. Sometimes an inexpensive option will save you money, but not this time.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Great price

Broken from the box

Never had the opportunity to use this torque wrench as it arrived broken. No matter how much torque is placed on the wrench, it only takes a few pounds of force to get the wrench to "click". The key "clicks" even before it reaches the minimum value. I needed this for special inspections required on two steel buildings I am building and as a result of it collapsing on arrival both jobs were delayed, inspectors were reassigned and staff sent home. Can't recommend this to anyone.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Socket required

Good price but not exactly

New to big trucks so wasn't sure how 500 ft lbs on an eye nut felt like but just built a trailer and knew we would install over 200. I have a 1/2" drive torque wrench and it has been confirmed that not only is it inconsistent, but it takes on too much all the time. I have not addressed my concerns within a month of the return. Will try the manufacturer and let you know how they react. At this point --- you might want to spend more on another one. TO UPDATE. They were willing to accept it after…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here
