Great for rock art

Great for rock art. They keep clutter to a minimum and allow for detailed coloring. I bought a bag of landscape rocks at my local hardware store to use for my summer activities. We made garden markers out of some rocks and they don't fade in the sun or rain. The colors are bright and a nice change.

Pros
  • Like so far
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works well for art materials

Update: After they thought they were dry and sent them back, the seller insulted them (without asking which was nice) with an extra sticker with instructions in English saying that You need to press down to get them to write. (The original package just has a horrible and useless translation.) You really need to press all the way down for at least 30 seconds, but after that they work.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Doubtful

Do Not Buy: Drawing

I bought these markers because they were recommended by Revain. Markers are not easy to use, leak by themselves and make a mess. After removing the cap, the marker's screw-on tip falls off and gets stuck everywhere. I'm a very neat handyman and I've never seen such a mess. I had to buy different markers to complete my project. Please don't repeat my mistake.

Pros
  • Great overall quality
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Hardly worked: Marker

They were dull compared to other oil based markers. It took forever to shake up the paint, and even after we wrote on them, they rubbed off easily once dry, hardly sparing the lettering. I ended up buying a slightly more expensive set just to have something that works. We make markings on fabric, painted metal, plastic and ceramics. Nothing really worked with them and I threw them away after one use.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Missing color in the pen.

I only opened two of the 12 markers. I needed them to make birthday outfits for my twins. The color wasn't very bright on the outfits, but it was also on a black background, so I had to work on it a lot. The white seems to have run out of ink which I only used for a day so there's no way it can run out unless it was very low on ink to begin with. I'm honestly disappointed with the amount of white ink in the pen.

Pros
  • Nice design
Cons
  • Empty

They drip, flow and bleed. Buy an acrylic marker instead.

It takes a lot of shaking to activate the color, but some of it oozes out literally everywhere. They also don't spread the paint the same way as sometimes it's a smooth streak and other times it's oily and dripping. Also, these things should not be written on surfaces that will cause the marker to bleed. I used white over a pre-painted blue finish, after which the tip was painted blue. Unless you're buying them to use on paper or some other smooth surface AND you don't care that your art looks…

1/3 exploded, 1/3 dried and 1/3 edited but very dull paint

I live at high altitude (6000 feet) so maybe this has something to do with my bad experience with them. In fact, I just poured a teaspoon or more of blue paint on my project - it worked fine for about 20 seconds and then ruined the piece. Black did the same. The greens oozed when I removed the cap so I pressed the tip (tip UP) then turned the marker into a tablespoon and paint almost spilled the entire scoop! The oranges, whites and yellows were completely dry - NO color even got to the felt…

Pros
  • Marker
Cons
  • Not sure

Great value for money, they work great.

Continuing my previous review, I would like to emphasize that these drawing pens are a great bargain. Despite what other reviewers say, they definitely work just as well as branded drawing pens (e.g. a marker). It's exactly what I want from a drawing pen - definitely not perfect, definitely a fun time. I am also changing my rating to 5 stars because they are worth it. A word of advice for dissenters: All really big things are inherently problematic. Reaching great heights requires compromises…

Pros
  • Painting, Art & Craft Supplies
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
