Good grease is the best lubricant

VW GTi rear brake pads do not fully engage. I cleaned the dirt in the grooves to get the pads sliding again with this lube. Didn't bleed when it was hot. Lubricate the top of the brake piston where the back of the pad rubs. no noise

Pros
  • shines
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Thinner than I expected

Nothing to say. Even if it were rubbish, I wouldn't know about it. It seems a lot thinner than Sil-Glyde or other silicone greases/pastes I've seen. Not sure how this will affect performance, but plan on taking the caliper pins out annually to inspect and re-grease.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent Brake Lubricant

That's Good Stuff! One thing I really like about this lube is the highly visible orange color. It's easy to see where you missed the mark and see at a glance places you may have missed. The lube stays right where you put it. This keeps my disc brakes at peak working efficiency. I highly recommend this Permatex product.

  • Something's Wrong

small hose but still enough to do a little more braking work.

Used with Wagner brake pads sold here and I have absolutely no brake noise. Of course, before applying this lube, I took the time to clean everything really well. Others have complained of brake noise when using Wagner brake pads, but I think taking the time to clean them and lubricate them properly is the key to no brake noise.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Works perfectly! for lubes and greases

My brakes were squeaking and it was getting annoying! I think when I worked on the brakes at the dealership these guys didn't overapply or use really cheap quality lube. When I removed the brake pads myself, there was no lubrication. I've applied this around the brake parts and it works great! No more creaking. Like new. I'm sure this little package is enough to do all 4 brakes and more depending on how much you apply.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Weak kit

For use where drive pins and rubber meet

Lubricates drive pins through rubber bushings like the Lucas-Girling HP2 floating calipers on my Audi. Also guide pins which include a small rubber bushing as part of the pin itself, like on our Honda CR-V (Pin B). Rubber doesn't swell like fat. I also use their green Ultra Disk Brake Caliper Lube (grease) on metal-to-metal contact points or pins that don't make contact with rubber parts or bushings. The right product for the right application.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Ultra quality lubricant for oils and fluids

Very high quality lubricant works well on caliper slide pins and will not damage rubber boots. Also ideal for lubricating brake pad parts. A little goes a long way, and good lubrication of the brake parts is extremely important. This allows the calipers to open and close freely and easily. This ensures even wear of the brake pads and a longer service life of the pads. There are some other lubricants that work just as well, but very few of these will not damage wellies. Brake work with torn…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
