Bought this for my son who just turned 4. The clasps are easy to open, but opening can be tidy if you don't want to loosen the plastic straps. We managed to put them on by simply unzipping them and undoing the velcro. They fit his size 10 or just under 11 well. Surprisingly, he liked them too! Dad took his hands and let him walk into our corridor and he wasn't scared at all which is great! I'm not sure if he's ready to take it to the rink yet, but at least he'll get used to it as it fits…

They're really good for a pair of beginner skates. My 3.5 year old nephew wears size 9 shoes and these were the smallest skates I could find.
