Inadequate Performance of Ball Bearing

This ball bearing did not meet my expectations in terms of longevity and durability. It consistently failed to deliver the promised industrial and scientific standard of quality and wore out much quicker than expected despite being sealed.

Good quality reputable bearings

These are replacement bearings for my (10 year old) Easton mountain bike hubs. Maybe the 3rd set of bearings I threw in there. It's hard to say when they're new how they'll hold up, I expect them to last a season or two. MTB wheel bearings fail due to water and dust/dirt ingress, not normal bearing wear, so I always use cheap Chinese bearings. Spending big bucks on Gucci branded bearings is silly. This bearing saved my son's distributor. From what I've read, Frontier and Exterra v6 engines share the same distributor. I won't write how to do this, but I'll focus on a few important points. The distributor is held in place by a screw. You have to push the connector inwards to disconnect it. Inside is a crankshaft sensor disc. The same should be returned. You drive the pin out of the end of the gear to remove the shaft. My posture was toasted. Easily changed. When removing it, I cleaned all…
