Hey these are some of the best headphones I've used on this, it took a few years for the original pair to break. It looks like the plug that had the problem in the original has been updated and I look forward to a few more years of service as I use it when I sleep comfortably, no problem at low or high volume, thanks!

The sound is ok, the price is ok, but I didn't know that the cable to the handset wasn't the right length. One is 29", which is great, and the other is only 9", making the wire to the short end too short and the wire to the long end hanging down and catching on things. I've ripped them out of my ears so many times that they were only used as spares when my other headphones wore out.

They sound decent however I didn't think one cord would be much longer than the other which is really annoying you have to wrap it around your neck and it doesn't fit, i've been trying to train with them and the cord gets tangled and jerky up and down. I wouldn't recommend it unless you sit and listen to them but even then the long cord comes in. The way you do it I've settled on a couple of wireless ones and don't use them anymore.

Good headphones for the price. I consider myself an audiophile and they can sound good for MP3 listening - if used properly. By that I mean (1) make sure they fit snugly in your ear canal and (2) use an equalizer. Insert them as far into your ear as possible for the best bass (3 sizes of ear tips included). I set the equalizer on my phone's music player to the headphone preset and made a few tweaks to make the cymbals sound less harsh. I am very happy with these Philips for the price.
