I have used Norelco all my life. I have two, one for travel and one for home. I like this one as it comes with a charging dock. I also really like the trimmer. I used to like it when the trimmer was built in. The only thing I liked is that this is a really well built heavy duty trimmer and it's even better than the old built in one. Norelco used to be a good company. I have been using Norelco razors for several decades now. Recently their products have expired. The blades on it dulled after only three days. After 60 days it is ready to throw away. I have old Norelco razors from 20 years ago that cut better than this one in just two months of use. I've been using electric shavers for 30 years. I've tried every variety. Also, being part of the Vine program, I update regularly. It's the best I've ever had. It is light, ergonomic, quiet and the charge lasts a long time. After 3 weeks it is still fully charged. The most important ones for me are: 1. The Norelco 6900 shaver offers you a close shave with great comfort. However, it doesn't shave *better* (closer) than their 7 year old 6945xl, which sells for about 1/3 the price. What I expect from a straight razor is a close shave. It does, but so did the 6945xl and I couldn't tell any difference between the two when I shaved one side of my face with the 6900 and the other with the 6945.
