Very disappointed with this purchase.

Strong lack of bass. Tin sound speaker. The magnet is smaller than most 4" speakers of the same basic design. Old paper cone speakers sound better than these. Very disappointed with this purchase. Don't know how to return them for credit.

Pros
  • 1.7 ounce Ceramic Magnat
Cons
  • I'll add later

Looks well built, works right out of the box

Connected directly to the arcade game system where the two wires come straight from the motherboard edge connector. I replaced the quick connect dies Connections are sized to match the protrusions on this speaker and it worked right out of the box without needing an amp The speaker is actually a bit bigger than I was hoping for but it works and I will assemble it in a small box, to store it Keep the magnet away from important parts such as the monitor.

Pros
  • Solder connectors (also works with .187" quick connect terminals
Cons
  • Some little things

Used in NuTone Intercom System

Replaced a broken speaker in a NuTone Intercom outdoor station. The station is mounted in siding and directly exposed to the elements with no protection (not the best place to mount it, but I didn't install it). So I replaced the rotten and crumbling speaker with this one (the old speaker was 8 ohms, 4 watts so I figured it should work). Connected and turned on music at Central Station. Went outside and turned the volume up all the way on the patio and heard those sweet sweet tunes coming from…

Pros
  • Impedance 8 ohms, 5W
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
